- Whisk together honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic in a small bowl to make the glaze.
- Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the salmon skin-side up for 3 minutes until golden.
- Flip the salmon and add the asparagus to the skillet around it.
- Pour the honey garlic glaze over the salmon and asparagus.
- Preheat the oven broiler and transfer the skillet under the broiler for 4 to 5 minutes until the salmon is glazed and flakes easily.
- Stir the butter into any remaining sauce in the pan.
- Plate the salmon and asparagus, spooning extra glaze over the top and sprinkling with sesame seeds if using.
