Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup natural almond butter
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats blended into flour
  • 8 thin pretzel rods broken in half
  • 2 tbsp white chocolate chips melted
  • 8 sliced almonds for nails
  • A few drops of red gel food coloring for the nail polish detail
  • Pinch of salt

Method

  1. Blend the rolled oats in a food processor or blender until they form a fine flour.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the oat flour, protein powder, almond butter, honey, and salt.
  3. Stir until a thick, cohesive dough forms.
  4. Mold a small amount of dough around the top two-thirds of each pretzel rod half, shaping it into a lumpy finger with a slightly knuckled texture.
  5. Dip the tip of each dough-covered pretzel into the melted white chocolate.
  6. Press a sliced almond onto the white chocolate tip to look like a fingernail.
  7. Dot a tiny bit of red food coloring onto the base of each almond nail for a chipped nail polish effect.
  8. Place the finished witch fingers on a tray and chill in the fridge for at least 15 minutes to firm up.
  9. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.

Notes

A single box of pretzel rods and a small bag of sliced almonds make a full batch of these witch fingers, so the spooky detail work adds very little to the overall cost.
